South Bohemian Intermezzi

About the South Bohemian Intermezzi Festival

South Czech Philharmonic has prepared an original festival – simply called South Bohemian Intermezzi. The purpose of the first year is to return music where it always belonged, that is in historical noble residences. The festival also aims to bring more variety in the summer season in the historical sights, as classical music cannot be heard very often in the historical residences of the region.

The South Bohemian Intermezzi Festival is held on four Thursdays in August and the first Saturday in September in castles and chateaux Zvíkov, Nové Hrady, Zlatá Koruna, Landštejn and Kratochvíle. All concert programs have been compiled to attract both experienced and less experienced listeners and entire families with children.
The music will be accessible, with programme lasting about 1 hour.
